Greetings in Finnish

Wishing each other in normal Life:

Hyvää Huomenta                      Good Morning
Hyvää  Iltää                                  Good Afternoon
Hyvää Yötä                                   Good night
Hyvää Päivää                               Good Day


                              Some other commonly used Finnish words in daily life are:

hyvää päivänjatkoa!                 Have a nice day!
hauskaa viikonloppua!            Have a good weekend!
Anteeksi                                        Excuse me/ Sorry
                     Ei se mitään                                 No problem (When someone says sorry, you can use this phrase)


And the most important of all is
KIITOS – Thank You

Miten menee?                           How is it going?                        

Answers:
Hyvä kiitos!                                  Good/fine thanks!
or ihan hyvä kiitos!                   Quiet good, thanks!
or ei kovin hyvää                       Not so well



Entä sinulle?                                What about you?
Answers could be as similar as for Mitä kuuluu.



Mikä sinun nimesi on?            What is your name?
Mikä sinun nimi on?                What is your name?

Answers:
Minun nimesi on Pedro          My name is Pedro
Minun nimi on Pedro              My name is Pedro¨



Puhutko englantia?                  Do you speak English?
Puhutko Suomea?                     Do you speak Finnish?

Answers:
Puhun or en puhu                     I speak / I don’t speak



Missä on Vessa?                        Excuse me, Where is the toilet?

Possible answers:
Siellä  (there, not seen with eyes)/ Tuolla (there, seen with eyes) / Tässä (here)
